21 - Newton's Third Law
Title
Newton's Third LawReading Text
Isaac Newton's Third Law explains how forces work in pairs. It says that for every action, there is a reaction. The reaction is equal in size but opposite in direction. This means you cannot touch something without it touching you back. Imagine you are on a skateboard. If you push a wall forward, you move backward. The wall pushes you back with the same force. This law also explains how rockets fly. The rocket engine pushes gas down very fast. The gas pushes the rocket up into the sky. Forces always happen together.
