Kevin-06: The Opera HouseReading Text
Episode 6: The Opera House After breakfast, Kevin walks to the harbor. The water is sparkling blue. Suddenly, he sees a very strange building. It has large white roofs. It looks like giant white orange slices! "Wow," Kevin says. "That is the most beautiful building in the world." A friendly police officer walks by. "That is the Sydney Opera House," the officer says. "It is very famous." Kevin looks to his left. He sees a huge gray bridge going across the water. "And what is that?" Kevin asks. "That is the Sydney Harbour Bridge," the officer smiles. "But we call it the Coathanger. It is the biggest steel arch bridge in Australia." Kevin takes his camera out of his bag. The bridge is taller than his eucalyptus tree. The Opera House is wider than the train station. Sydney is full of giant things! šØ Aussie Talk The police officer calls the bridge the "Coathanger."
