Reading Text
Scorpions are amazing animals found in many places, especially in the desert. There are about 1,500 different species of scorpions. Many people think they are insects, but they are actually arachnids. This means they have eight legs, just like spiders. Scorpions have sensitive hairs on their bodies that help them find prey. They also have a stinging tail to protect themselves and catch food. One of the most interesting things about scorpions is that they glow in the dark under a special UV light. When they eat, they digest their food on the outside of their bodies and then slurp it up. Most scorpions are not dangerous to humans, but it is always best to be careful. They are like little desert ninjas!
