  Content:

  • Tom stood inside the busy MRT station in Taipei. It was his first day in the city. He needed to buy a ticket to go to the center. A friendly staff member pointed to a machine. "You should get an EasyCard," she suggested. "It is very convenient."

  • Tom put some money into the machine. A blue card came out. He felt happy. Now he could travel anywhere in Taipei. He touched the card to the gate sensor. Beep! The gate opened. Tom walked through, ready to find his train.
