Girl and the Ice Cream Truck

Title

The Girl and the Ice Cream Truck

Reading Text

A young girl sits at her window. She is tired of the cold winter, the gray skies, and the snow. She wants summer to come so she can have picnics. Suddenly, she sees an ice cream truck on the street! She thinks summer is here. She runs to her closet and puts on her bathing suit. She runs outside with bare feet. CRUNCH! The grass is icy and cold. She is confused. Then, she sees the truck go into a repair shop. It was not selling ice cream; it was broken. The girl learns that one sign does not mean summer is here.
